AJWAIN METHI POORIS
 
" Deep Fried Indian Bread with Carom Seeds and Dried Fenugreek Leaves."
Makes 16
 
INGREDIENTS
2 Tcup- Maida
½ Tcup- Sooji
½ Tsp- Salt
5 Tsp- Oil
Warm Water to knead the Dough
1 Tsp- Thymol Seeds ( Hindi Term Ajwain )
3 Tbsp- Dried Fenugreek Leaves ( Hindi Term Kasoori Methi )
Oil for Deep Frying the Pooris
 
METHOD
1. Knead all the above mentioned Ingredients together to make a stiff Dough.
2. Cover with a Damp Cloth and keep for 1 Hour.
3. Break the Dough in balls and then roll them out as per size needed.(Size as that of Pooris).
4. Deep Fry in hot oil till golden brown.Drain well and serve hot.
