BHATURA
 
" A Perfect Accompaniment to Chola."
 
Makes 10 Medium Size Bhaturas.
 
INGREDIENTS
2 ½ Tcup- Flour ( Hindi Term Maida )
½ Tcup- Semolina ( Hindi Term Sooji )
1 Tcup- Curd
1 Tsp- Salt
1 Tbsp- Sugar
2 Tbsp- Ghee
¼ Tsp- Baking Powder
Little Warm Water
Oil for Deep Frying
 
METHOD
1. Sieve Flour,Semolina,Salt and Baking Powder in a Bowl.
2. Whisk Sugar,Yogurt and Ghee together and then pour the Mixture slowly into the Flour and add Warm Water and Knead a Soft Dough.
3. Cover with a damp cloth and leave it in a a warm place for 2 hours so that it rises well.
4. Divide the Dough into Small Balls and then keep covered for 10 minutes.
5. Roll out into small disc of 5 inches diameter and deep fry in hot Oil till golden brown.
Drain well on a tissue and serve hot.
