GAJAR KA HALWA
 
" A Very Common Halwa."
Serves 6
 
INGREDIENTS
1 Litre- Milk
½ kg- Carrots ( Grated )
1 ¼ Tcup- Sugar
1 Tbsp- Raisins
2-3 Drops- Orange Food Colour
1 Tbsp- Ghee
1 Tbsp- Cardamom Powder
 
Garnish
Silver Varak
Shredded Dry Fruits
 
METHOD
1. Boil milk in a kadhai and stir well.
2. Add grated carrots to it and let the carrots get cooked in the milk.
3. See that it doesnot stick to the bottom of the kadhai.
4. Add sugar,raisins,food colour and mix well.
5. When the desired consistency of the halwa is obtained add ghee to it and mix well.
6. Check the sweetness and garnish well with dry fruits and silver varak.
7. Serve hot or cold.
