- GOA FISH CURRY

- " The Traditional Fish Curry of Goa
made with Pomfret."
- Serves-4

- INGREDIENTS
- 700-750 gms- Pomfret
½ Tcup- Oil
1/3 Tcup- Sliced Onions
¼ Tcup- Finely Chopped Tomatoes
10 Tbsp- Coconut Milk
4 Nos- Green Chillies ( Slit and Deseeded )
Salt- To Taste

- Paste
15 Nos- Whole Red Chillies
7 Tsp- Coriander Seeds
1 Tsp- Cumin Seeds
1 Tsp- Turmeric Powder
1 ½ Tsp- Roughly Chopped Garlic
2 Tbsp- Roughly Chopped Ginger
40 gms- Deseeded Tamarind

- METHOD
- 1. Clean and Wash the Fish and make Darnes
in it.
2. Add all the Ingredients to be made to a Paste in a Blender
and add approximately ½ Tcup Water and make a Fine Paste.Keep
Aside.
3. Heat Oil in a Kadhai and then to it add Sliced Onions and
sauté well until Golden Brown.
- Add Diced Tomatoes to it and then add the
Paste and Bhunno for 3-4 Minutes.
- Add Coconut Milk and 1 Tcup Water and then
bring to boil.Add Salt also.
4. Add Fish and Green Chillies to it and let it Simmer for 5-10
Minutes.
5. Check the Seasoning and adjust accordingly.
6. Bring to Boil and then serve Hot with Boiled Rice.
