PYAZ KI BHINDI
 
" Cubes of Okras cooked with Sliced Onions and Indian Spices."
Serves-4
 
INGREDIENTS
3 Tbsp- Oil
A pinch- Asafoetida
1 Tsp- Cumin Seeds
1 No- Large Onion ( Sliced )
450 gms- Okras (Hindi Term Bhindi )
1 Tsp- Salt ( To Taste )
1 Tsp each of Red Chilli Powder and Mango Powder
½ Tsp- Turmeric Powder
2-3 Tbsp- Chopped Corinader Leaves
Garnish
Chopped Coriander Leaves
Deep Fried Onion Slices
 
METHOD
1. Cut Okras in cubes of ½ Inch.
2. Heat Oil in a Kadhai and then add Asafoetida and Cumin Seeds to it. When Cumin Seeds start to crackle then add Sliced Onion to it and sauté well.
3. Add Okras to it and sauté well.Cover with a lid and cook till they are almost done.
4. Add Salt,Red Chilli Powder,Mango Powder and Turmeric Powder and mix well.
5. Add Coriander Leaves and mix well.
6. Check the Seasoning and adjust accordingly.
7. Serve Hot garnished with Chopped Coriander Leaves and Deep Fried Slices of Onions.
